We got word this morning that our friend, Mike Bonadio lost his year-long battle with brain cancer last night. He was Bern's hunting buddy and he's taking it pretty hard. Mike was only 56 years old and leaves his wife Maria, son Bruno and daughter Teresa. They are a wonderful Italian family - Mike will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.We will go over to Mississauga on Sunday afternoon for the visitation, stay at Howard's Sunday night and then to the funeral Monday morning.
Bern kept busy today putting up the ceiling fan in our bedroom. That was quite a job, but it all works and will be appreciated next summer, I'm sure! Next, he renovated the dresser we got from Howard. He took the top drawers out of the top part to accommodate the TV and satellite receiver. Then we went to the hardware store and picked out new hardware for the two remaining drawers and the doors that hide the TV. It's really nice!
