We went to church this morning and to say we thoroughly enjoyed it is an understatement! We almost didn't go - Bern's had a bad cough for a few days and he wasn't feeling very good when he got up, but said he wanted to go anyway. We have been away for almost five months, but when we walked in the door we were treated like family. Pastor Rene welcomed us back from the pulpit and said they had missed us and were a little worried that the rapture had happened and they'd been left behind! Communion was served and we sang all the verses of "The Old Rugged Cross". Those old hymns are little sermons in themselves, aren't they? It would be a shame to lose them. Anyway, when the cup was served, Pastor asked each of us to say to the person next to us "Jesus died so you can be free of sin" as we passed the tray along. Bern and I were the only ones in our row so we said it to each other - it was very special! The sermon was great, too - chapter 15 of Revelation. We were so happy we decided to go to church today and will look forward to going back every Sunday.

When we got home, Bern continued painting his office. He just needs to do some touch-ups tomorrow and then he can start putting his desk together, hang some pictures, set up his laptop and get his files sorted out. I worked out our Christmas card design this afternoon - it is really pretty and they're going to take some work, but I have time. Well, we're getting ready to watch "The Amazing Race" so I'll sign off for now.
