Montana trip - Part 5

Another good day! We enjoyed a pancake fundraising breakfast at the Wolf Point Museum. We were so impressed with the museum - what a wonderful collection of things from the past. Mom wasn't feeling too great today, but she did come down to the breakfast, but then we took her back home for the rest of the day until supper time. Anyway, I took quite a few pictures in the museum - mostly for my own enjoyment, but you might find them interesting and fun, too.

This is how you used to get your hair curled! Yikes!!

After breakfast and touring the museum, we took went downtown to "Art in the Park". Bern spent some time at a table of knives with handles made of antlers. They started at $125 - they were nice. We wandered around until we found my cousin Linda and her grand daughter's display of purses made out of cowboy boots. Cute idea and quite inventive since the tops of the boots never wear out. They were cute, but I really couldn't see myself using a purse like that in our neck of the woods. It was great seeing Linda. She looks great. We got a lovely pictures of her and some of her family.

We checked a couple of pawn shops and went into Bryan's to look for a pair of cowboy boots for Gary and Bern tried on some cowboy hats. Gary didn't find any boots he liked and Bern might go back for a hat before we leave. After that, we went to get the car since the shootout was being held at the other end of town. What fun that was - they did a couple of skits which involved gunplay - a cheating hand of poker and a bank robbery. Very fun!

After everybody was shot dead, we went for lunch and then went back to Greg's warehouse where we sat around visiting, trying to decided whether or not we were going to the rodeo later on. As it turned out, we decided the storm warnings won out and we decided to pass this year. I know, we're wimps! Linda came up to Mom's for awhile on her way home. When she left, Bern, Gary, Mom and I went out for supper and then went back to Mom's until around 8:30. After saying goodbye to Gary (he's leaving to go back to Wisconsin early tomorrow morning), we came back to Pat's. Tomorrow will just be spent relaxing. We may go out for groceries. As nice as it sounds about eating out all the time, the food hasn't been that great here. We need some "home cooking".
