I feel like we're on a sinking ship! We have another leak which is going to require digging up my front garden and tearing up the front step. That's two leaks now - we fixed the other one which cost us $420 - this one will be MUCH more - like $5,000. We're getting quotes. Bern's talking to a couple of guys right now - and he's arranged for two more companies to come in for estimates.
Life goes on! Got a lovely email from my mother yesterday with news of my great niece Joey's birthday party. Her mom is away for awhile so everyone really stepped up and gave her a wonderful Barbie day. I hope someone sends me pictures!
We talked to Pen and Howard last night - they're doing great and were just about to sit down to play cards (that will test any relationship!) We're all looking forward to getting together for the engagement dinner on Valentine's Day.
My BFF's were trying to set up another visit to Welland in February - but, as so often happens, we can't coordinate dates. Then, Maggie is off to Florida for the month of March - so it looks like sometime in April before we can plan another play date! Oh well, the weather will be nicer - and we all know the wait will be worth it!
