"New" Bella page

Here's a page I made of Bella's entry into the world. This is such a special event that I left a space for Nev to write on once we get the book made. So, Nev, if you're reading this, you might want to start jotting down notes as we go along. I'm planning to leave journalling spots from you and Brad to your daughter.

We went to church this morning. I got up early and baked mini-blueberry muffins for coffee time after the service. Everybody liked that. A couple, Ken and Cathy, took us out for a wonderful lunch in Chippewa (just the other side of Niagara Falls). Ken overheard us asking one of the guys at church where to get good fish and chips in Welland. That's what made them decide to take us to "Betty's" instead of for Chinese food. We had a lovely time!! After lunch, Ken drove us all over the Niagara area (a little sightseeing trip). We got home just after 4:00 p.m.

While we were still at church, we set up a date for Pastor Rene and Christine to come over to our house for supper. Pastor said maybe we'll get in a few hands of Euchre and Bern pipes up - no, we play Hand and Foot. They both said (excitedly and at the same time), you play Hand & Foot?????? They actually know how to play. God is so good! Anyway, they're coming over April 2nd.

We talked to James today. We thought he might like to come over next Saturday night. Since we had tentatively planned to visit Maria Bonadio next Saturday, we would just pick him up on our way back to Welland. She's the widow of Bern's good friend Mike who passed away just after Christmas. James had already offered to help a friend of his move into his new house next Sunday and couldn't really get out of it. The fellow is from South Africa and only really knows James through work. So, I think we'll reschedule our visit with Maria for the following weekend.

Penny is anxiously waiting for Howard's return from his golfing trip to Las Vegas. She really misses him. Sweet, huh? She spent a couple of days with Brad and Nev, helping with housework and cooking, etc. The nice thing is that she and Howard only live 20 minutes away if they should need anything. Penny says thank you so much to everybody for praying for Brad.

I'm so excited to be having Easter dinner at my house this year. For years, we've always gone to either Jan's or Fran's for Christmas dinner and haven't been able to reciprocate due, in part, to the fact that we lived in smaller places - and also to the fact that neither one of them wanted to give up their turn! Anyway, we've decided that Easter will be MY day. We're having both couples and all the kids. Well, they're not really kids any more. But, we will be 10 for dinner. Now, I have to come up with the menu - and four more chairs! I can't wait!!
