Lillian Richer (70), dear mother of Desi and Julian and widow of Joe (Bern's cousin), who passed away a few years ago, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away while undergoing a CT scan to monitor the site of a cancer on her liver, which had been successfully treated. We are stunned and send our condolences to her family and friends - they are many! We are going to try to go to Massey for the funeral, but with Bern still struggling with his bronchial infection, those plans are still up in the air. Penny and Howard will go with us, if we go. Howard can't drive because of his eye problems, and Penny doesn't drive. Anyway, we'll do what we can.
Here's a picture of me with Lil last summer. I dearly loved that woman! She just made everybody feel like part of the family and we always had a good laugh together. I think that Lil would be very satisfied with the way she left this earth - in a hurry. She was always a little French fire cracker who lived life to the fullest and to linger on and on would have driven her nuts!! Massey won't be the same without her, though.
