Wonderful weekend!

Bern went to Oakville to do some errands including getting a dented fender fixed on my car - he dented it, I didn't. Anyway, I had most of the day to putter around here, do a bit of grocery shopping and browsing around Seaway Mall - it was great! James worked until 4:00 p.m. and went home to shower and change before Bern picked him and Emily up to bring them here. James hadn't even seen this house yet. They both absolutely LOVED it. James said he didn't want to go back to his place....uh oh! It was so much fun having him here. We played Guitar Hero - well, we tried to play Guitar Hero...it's NOT easy since you have to be relatively coordinated. James and Emily are great at it - of course, they've been practicing.

It was Emily's birthday last Wednesday, so we had a cake and presents after a dinner of spaghetti, Caesar salad and garlic bread. We watched a movie, James went to bed early, then Bern went - Emily stayed up and watched TV for awhile and actually got a chance to talk. It was really nice. The next day, we had home-made chicken noodle soup and biscuits for lunch and then we drove them back to Oakville.

Emily's cousin is getting married in June and is having her wedding in the Bahamas. They have purchased a week-long vacation package for 15 friends and relatives to join them for the wedding. Emily's grandmother is unable to go, so there was an extra ticket so James gets to go. He's very excited!

We're looking forward to Penny's visit tomorrow!
