James' new home...

We did it - James moved into his own apartment this morning! Everything went very well, but by lunch time, we were ready to stop for awhile. We went to Swiss Chalet for lunch. We dropped James and Emily off at the apartment and Bern and I are relaxing in our "empty nest". We will go back this evening to deliver a few of the things that were forgotten.

Saturday, we visited our friends in Woodbridge. We had a lovely dinner (made by Pino's mother, bless her heart!) She's a great cook and offered so Lorraine graciously consented. Their new house is beautiful and they're very happy in it. The backyard (covered in snow right now) is completely landscaped with a rock garden, patio and soon-to-bloom spring flowers. Steve and Bev Hanna were also visiting. It was fun for Bern to talk about what's been happening at the Board since he left. Steve was Bern's replacement. It's always wonderful to see Lorraine and Pino. We enjoy them so much. We will definitely will have them visit us at our new house in Welland.

Brent called James the other day to let us all know that the surgery on his shoulder went well and should be pretty much healed up in time for his trip to Salt Lake City with Tammy. She's been invited to present her PhD thesis at Brigham Young University, so they're going for four days (not enough to come here, tho). Brent ordered tickets for them to see the Utah Jazz play the Toronto Raptors the night before they go back to Taiwan. He's more excited about that than anything else, I think. Anyway, they're planning to come home for two weeks in September - so I'm really looking forward to that!!!!
