Brent is 38 - how did that happen?

On the 15th, our Brent turned 38. It's just NOT possible. Oh well, yes it is. When Brent came into my life, he had not yet turned 5 years old and had already been through lots of upsets. The Lord knew I needed Brent and Brent needed me, too. We have had a completely special bond ever since. He's mine and I'm his. He's decided to make a life for himself in Taiwan, he's met a lovely girl named Tammy (who he wants to marry), and he is very happy. Although, I miss him terribly, I'm overjoyed that he's found his place in this world.

The people who bought our house came by today for a revisit. They brought us a "thank you" card and a bottle of wine. The parents, Deepak and Anita, have purchased this house for their son. They are moving to Detroit and are delighted to know their son has a nice place to live. Anita will travel back here from Detroit every couple of weeks to make sure her son is okay. She is a lovely, lovely person. They've actually lived in Oakville for over 20 years.

Anyway, they're as anxious for March 14th to roll around as we are. The packing is proceeding ahead of schedule, but as Bern says, if we pack everything up, we'll just have to eat out every night. Oh well, okay....hurray!!!! Pack those boxes, honey!

Bern went out this morning to sprinkle salt on the steps and slipped and fell down, injuring his wrist, knee and back. He didn't break anything, but he's very sore. That should slow him down a little, huh?
