Blessed with beautiful sunshine!!

The weather has been spectacular for the past week! Sunshine every day and warmth - oh how I love it! We threw out our old patio chair cushions last fall because they were ripping and had faded beyond recognition! We've had them for about 15 years, I think, so we got out money's worth, for sure. We thought it would be a simple task to replace the cushions, but were having a heck of a time finding anything we liked. I finally found some at Lowe's (online) so we went and got them today, plus a new set of cushions for the patio swing and a new umbrella. Happy Mother's Day to me!! Anyway, Bern restained the deck on Saturday, so now we'll wait for another couple of weeks and then open the pool! My BFF's are coming for a visit on June 27th for a couple of days, so everything will be ready!

My brother Greg and his wonderful wife Cec are really making some good changes in Mom's house. They are reconfiguring her kitchen so she can have her washer and dryer upstairs. They're planning to expand her front porch, installing a ramp for her. We are so fortunate to have Greg and Cec taking care of her like that - we'll never be able to thank them enough - they are angels among us!

Tammy started back to work yesterday (they don't get one year off like Canadian mommies do). Her company likes her so much that they offered her a contract to come back to work part time. She's working mornings only for the next year, which works out well since Brent works afternoons. Nikki will always have one of her parents with her - so happy about that! They're already talking about have another baby in a year and a half - yahoo!! Here's a picture Tammy sent this morning - so cute!
