We're so pleased to hear that the ultrasound came back showing no blockages, which may have been the cause of Mom's dizzy spell a couple of weeks ago. Now, we're waiting for results of other tests including an MRI. We spoke on the phone the other night and I will be calling her today, too. She still sounds "dizzy", but that's my Mom!
We got up early for church this morning, had our coffee, showers, breakfast, etc. and drove to church. The parking lot was packed and something was obviously already going on that we didn't know about (we've been up north for a few weeks). Our greeter, Julius, wasn't at the door either. We decided to go back home rather than walk into the service in the middle! There's another service tonight, so we'll go to that one.
We've had some very hot, humid days this week. Yesterday was the perfect summer day - sunny with the slightest cool breeze. We took a drive toward the Falls and stopped into an antique place - it was like stepping right into the past! Lots of neat things. Next, we stopped at a nursery called "The Country Basket". They're having their annual penny sale next week - buy anything in the nursery and get another for a penny. We looked at lots of roses and other perennials for the back garden. I laughingly call it a garden because it's only a circle about 4 feet in diameter. Our neighbor, Stew, had a piece of edging left over from his garden so Bern dug the garden to fit the piece of edging. It will fit two or three rose bushes and will be pretty when it's planted. I'd like to put a little bird bath in it, too. I know, it's a lot to ask of a "little" circle - but, hey!
It's raining today and there's rain in the forecast for the next two days, including Canada Day on Wednesday. If the forecast is wrong (really?), we will probably go to Memorial Park for some of the festivities. There will be live bands and food and fireworks in the evening. Should be fun.
