BBQ on new deck!

We had such a great day on Sunday. Bern went to Oakville to pick up James around noon and the rest of the gang arrived later in the afternoon. The weather couldn't have been better and the company was wonderful. We had great food, good music, and James made a new friend in little Abby, Lon and Karen's new little labrador retriever puppy.
Blonde Brew is a non-alcoholic beer - just in case you were wondering!!
The "clean-up crew" - bless their little hearts! See that jam-packed dishwasher? Well, when I went to turn it on today, it wouldn't run!!! So, I had to take all the dishes out and wash them by hand. Oh well! We'll worry about a new one when we get back from Taiwan.
Our beautiful Ashley. Please pray for her. She's been suffering all her life with Krone's disease and she just got over two months of agony. The doctors have tried everything to try to help her and have now started a new treatment (kind of a last ditch effort) which costs an absolute fortune and she's unable to secure any insurance/government support to help pay for the medication. Also, there are risks and side effects to deal with. She is the sweetest person and loves the Lord with all her heart.
James and little Abby. He would throw the plastic bucket across the yard, Abby would run and grab it and run back with it covering her face! It was hilarious!!
The girls: me, Ash, Karen and Brenda
Does that look like guilt to you? She sneaked in when we weren't looking!!

Today, we took James home - he wasn't feeling too good - tired, mostly. We had to do some errands on the way home and got back around 4:30. Bev made a beautiful needlework piece for Tammy which arrived in the mail today. I'm hoping to have it framed before we go, but it may be better and easier to pack leaving it the way it is. I'm sure Tammy's going to love it.

Tomorrow, my livingroom furniture is being delivered! Also, there's a carpenter coming to talk to us about installing french doors on my livingroom. The problem is that the doorway isn't square since the opening is diagonal to the room. We picked out the doors we like, but we need a professional installer!

Terry and Kim are coming for a visit on Wednesday and we're looking forward to seeing them. Kim had surgery on her knee earlier in the year and has been recovering from that, so we haven't seen them for awhile. I'll have to get the cards out!!!
