Last Sunday was such a great day. First of all, our church service was wonderful - even more wonderful than usual. We had a combined service with the Spanish congregation and the music was amazing, including the choir Bern was in for Thanksgiving. We had our friend, Daryl Weinberg, a messianic Jew present the sermon. It's so interesting to hear about the roots of our faith from a different perspective! Love it!
We spent a quiet afternoon, then packed up the car with pumpkin and apple pies, a sampling of our home canning, a bottle of wine and our overnighties and drove to Fran and Mike's in Oakville for Thanksgiving. Bern was enlisted to carve the turkey!
James and Stephanie arrived shortly before dinner was served. Of course, the meal was delicious! We had such a good time - it was really great getting to know Stephanie, too. Everybody loved her! After dinner, Heather put out some of the jewelry she's made for an exhibition she's attending in Toronto later this month. She's so talented!

Bern and I stayed overnight, got up to a toasted turkey sandwich and coffee and left on Monday just after noon. We finally got a chance to hear about their month-long trip to Ireland. I put together a couple of scrapbook pages to celebrate the day.
