We're home again!

The wedding was wonderful - Penny and Howard are so happy and we're happy for them! We got to Penny's an hour before the wedding and got to visit with our nieces Robin, Holly and Bern's sister Brenda from Calgary for a little while. Penny's granddaughter, Shawna (the Maid of Honour) looked beautiful in her purple dress. Penny also had a corsage and boutinnere for me and Bern - white roses! The photographer came in for a few pictures before the limo arrived to take us all to the church. Penny looked stunning, of course - pictures follow.

At the church, three-year-old Bella tried to steal center stage by knocking over the crucifix up on the platform - there was a collective EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK as it fell over narrowly missing the Maid of Honour! If the videographer got it on film, it will go to "Funniest Home Videos" for sure. The rest of the ceremony was lovely, though. Afterward, we piled back into the limo - this time with Howard, his grandson Matthew (the Best Man) and Mitchel, Penny's grandson. It was crowded, but very joyous, with champagne toasts to the Bride and Groom.

Front row: Jordan, Mitchel (Penny's grandson) and Bryan - Jordan and Brian are Lon and Karen's boys.

Back row: Me, Robin, Holly, Shawna, Nev (Bella's Mom and Brad's wife), Karen, Ashleigh and Courtney (Lon and Karen's daughters). Courtney is our little miracle girl - a cancer survivor in her 4th year!
Front row: Penny, Bella and Brenda
Once the formal pictures were taken, we were invited into the reception. By then, James and Rachel arrived. They had to drive from the church back to the hotel and then take a cab back to the reception so they wouldn't have to drive later. We sure enjoyed seeing them and getting to know Rachel a little better.

Now, for a few pictures from the reception. We had a really good time - we had a great dinner, danced and then got to ride back to Pen's in the limo.
The Massey crew!

Rachel and James finally arrive

Lise and Wayne - we stayed with them in Massey for the week following the wedding.

Bern's cousins Juanita and Melrose, and Jocelyn's husband Andre

Too cute.

The first dance.

Bern dancing with Melrose - he's moving so fast, he's blurry!

Here are a few more candids - AND, because this is my blog, I can put as many pictures of my kid on here as I like!

Lise won the centrepiece at our table and it couldn't have gone to a more perfect recipient! It looks perfect in her dining room!

I love this!

...this, too!

Now, for something a little different! The following pictures are of my little grand nieces in Tampa at their dedication. So sweet, huh?
