Christmas is coming!

I know Christmas is on the way because on Wednesday night we had the Christmas carolers from church over for old-fashioned hot chocolate and goodies! We had a great time and my baking went to good use!

On Sunday, we went to Oakville and spent the afternoon with James and Stephanie. They left for Taiwan this morning and we had some stuff to send along with them. They were quite excited to be going and Steph was a little apprehensive having not been off the North American continent before. Brent is meeting them in Taipei and, from what I gather, he will be driving them back to Tainan (another 4 hours of travel after 24 hours!) James told Brent he would gladly pay for a hotel room for the night, so we'll see. I'm so happy they are all going to be together for Christmas - wish we were going, too!

We've been very busy - what else is new, huh? Our Niagara Women's Connection Christmas event went very well. Fran and Heather set up a couple of tables of crafts - Heather makes beautiful jewelry and Fran brought along some hats she made. As it turned out, several of the other vendors were unable to come due to illness, so they made out like bandits! So happy for Heather!!

My friend, Ginny is in the hospital and will be staying there during her treatment on her leg. Once Fran goes over in January, she and her nieces will get Ginny's house ready for her coming home. She won't be able to use the stairs for awhile, so she will need to have her bedroom relocated to the main floor. The pain is finally being managed while she's in the hospital and isn't trying to use her leg. Thank you all for your prayers. She is overwhelmed by the love and support she's receiving.

We had Bern's ex-secretary, Kim and her husband, Terry over a couple of weekends ago. They were so excited to tell us that they're going to be grandparents, too! We played cards and went out and about Welland on Saturday. They had to pick up their dog at the "doggy resort" on Sunday morning, so we were able to go to church.

Okay, okay, I know you're only reading this in case I put pictures of Nikki on here, so here are a few more. She is really growing and I'm sure she will be walking by the time she's 10 months old. James did - just saying!

Tammy and Brent are going into the apple pie making business! They have orders for 6 pies already and are expecting more next week. Pie isn't something that is common in Taiwan, but everyone who's tried it, loves it! What's not to love, right?

You have to see this video of our little cutie-pie - just can't stay awake!
